For many centuries it was the witness of historic events, a symbol of national unity and state independence. Now, enriched with new values, the Castle expresses the unity of feelings, beliefs and endeavours of the Poles. It became the symbol hewn anew in the old material of patriotic emotions and the sense of national identity, affecting the contemporaries through its history that embodies the history of the nation.
