Artykuł przedstawia zagadnienie koncepcji controllingu w powiązaniu z kanwą modeli biznesowych, jako podstawę do efektywnego funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstwa w dobie globalizacji oraz przemian technologicznych. Okazuje się, iż realizacja głównych zadań controllingu w zakresie budżetowania i planowania, kalkulacji kosztów czy raportowania, nie przeważa już o rentowności przedsiębiorstwa w kontekście uzyskania przewagi konkurencyjnej i wzrostu wartości rynkowej. Niezbędna wydaje się analiza controllingu w szerszej perspektywie, a więc w konsolidacji z całokształtem procesów, zasobów i otoczenia organizacji, stanowiących pryzmat innowacyjnych rozwiązań, ujmowanych jako modele biznesowe.

The article presents the concept of controlling concept in relation to the canvas of business models as a basis for the effective functioning of the enterprise in the era of globalization and technological changes. It turns out that the implementation of the main tasks of controlling in the field of budgeting and planning, cost calculation or reporting no longer prevails about the profitability of the company in the context of gaining competitive advantage and increasing market value. It seems necessary to analyze controlling in a broader perspective, in consolidation with the whole of processes, resources and the environment of the organization, which constitute the prism of innovative solutions, recognized as business models.
