W procesie kształtowania osobowości młodego człowieka znacząca rolę odgrywają zadatki wrodzone, środowisko, proces wychowania czy aktywność własna, którą w ostatnim czasie, zwłaszcza w odniesieniu do młodego pokolenia, zdominował Internet. Stał się on medium, które całkowicie zmieniło kulturę i podejście do życia milionów ludzi. Jego powstanie wywołało rewolucję równie ważną i znamienną w skutkach jak niegdyś wynalazek druku. Obecnie znajduje on szerokie zastosowanie. Służy przede wszystkim w nauce i technice, umożliwia szybki i łatwy kontakt, wzajemne przesyłanie informacji oraz ułatwia transakcje pomiędzy przedsiębiorstwami, instytucjami, a także osobami prywatnymi. Jest to wynalazek, który nie tylko ma działanie pozytywne, ponieważ często powoduje regres sztuki zapamiętywania. Użytkownik otrzymuje dane gotowe i, niestety, nierzadko bierze za prawdę coś, co jest wynikiem błędu autora lub jego chęci wprowadzenia czytelnika w błąd. Negatywne skutki nieprawidłowego użytkowania Internetu obserwowalne są również w gronie językoznawców, którzy dostrzegają zubożenie i degradację współczesnej polszczyzny

In the process of creating the human's personality, it matters the inborn attributes, the social environment, the upbringing or one's activity which the Internet has dominated recently especially in the regard to the young generation. It has become the medium which completely changed the culture and the treatment of the million of people's life. Its uprising caused the revolution as valid and changeable in the results as the invention of the printing. Currently it is used in many ways. Fist of all, it has possibilities in science and technology, it is a very cheap and fast source of communication, it helps people to share information and it is also an ideal way of getting in touch with one's business colleagues or close friends. The Internet is the invention which not only has a positive impact but also it causes the regression in memorizing. The user gets the data and he often takes something for granted what is the result of the author's mistake or his intention to make the reader be mistaken. Secondly, negative results of using the Internet are also observed by linguists who notice the pauperization and degradation of the current Polish.
