Communicative strategies play an important role in communication. Effective strategies used to overcome communication difficulties are of crucial importance for Polish language learners. In this paper, Communication Strategies in Teaching Polish as a Foreign Language, the author will first briefly present a definition and some conceptualizations of communication strategies. Then, she will present how communication strategies are defined in two documents: Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment and Programs for Teaching Polish as a Foreign Language. Finally, suggestions for pedagogical implications will be discussed.
