Dit artikel tracht een typologie te presenteren van de meest voorkomende fouten in de vertaling vanuit het Nederlands naar een vreemde taal. Het te analyseren materiaal is afkomstig uit vertaaltaken van de studenten Nederlands en van pas afgestudeerde bachelors. De oorzaken van de fouten zijn te vinden in de verkorte opleidingscyclus van taalstudies die langer duurde voordat het Bologna-verdrag werd ondertekend, waarna de vijfjarige studies werden verdeeld in twee onafhankelijke kortere cycli. Andere oorzaken houden ook verband met de gemakkelijke toegang tot niet noodzakelijkerwijs betrouwbare woordenboekcursussen en internetvertaalprogramma’s, waarvan Google Translator een voorbeeld is, en het feit dat de afgestudeerden die hun studie in een aanzienlijk kortere tijd en met minder inspanning hebben voltooid (dan dat het geval was bij degenen die de vijfjarige studie hebben gedaan) een overdreven zelfvertrouwen laten zien.

Niniejszy artykuł prezentuje typologię częstych błędów pojawiających się w tłumaczeniu z języka niderlandzkiego na język polski. Przykłady pochodzą z tłumaczenia studentów niderlandystyki oraz świeżo upieczonych licencjatów. Przyczyny błędów autorka dopatruje się w skróceniu cyklu edukacyjnego wskutek obowiązywania Traktatu Bolońskiego, który skrócił studia akademickie z pięciu do trzech lat, które następnie można poszerzyć o kolejne dwa lata, jednakże nie jest to niezbędne do uzyskania wyższego wykształcenia. Inną przyczyną tworzenia błędnych tłumaczeń jest nieograniczony niemal dostęp do wszelkiego rodzaju źródeł i maszyn tłumaczeniowych w Internecie (jak chociażby Google Translator/Tłumacz Google). Kombinacja skróconego okresu studiów, czyli w przypadku języka niderlandzkiego: zdobywania sprawności językowych w tym języku, i przekonanie o wysokiej jakości swojej świeżo nabytej wiedzy, jest źródłem licznych usterek w tłumaczeniu. Od takich, które mogą zaważyć na czyimś losie, po nieodparcie komiczne.

This article presents an attempt at a typology of the most frequent errors occurring in the translation from Dutch into a foreign language. The material under analysis derives from the translation tasks performed by the students of Dutch as well as by the newly graduated B.A. holders. The causes of the errors are to be found in the shortened education cycle of language studies which had been longer before the Bologna Treaty was signed and the five-year studies were divided into two independent shorter cycles. Other causes are also related to easy access to not necessarily reliable dictionary courses and Internet translators, of which Google Translator is an example, and to the fact that the graduates who completed their studies in a significantly shorter period of time and less effortlessly (than those who had completed five-year studies) demonstrated inflated self-confidence.
