The author discusses the application of Horizon system (Release 7.3) in library acquisitions on the example of the College of Europe Library in Natolin. He describes options of the acquisitions module enabling librarians to manage a number of acquisitions processes: recording and controlling orders, controlling expenses, managing the budget, managing vendors, answering library users’ requests and shows how those options allow librarians to automate acquisitions and integrate them with other library processes, for instance cataloging. The author discusses implementation of Horizon acquisitions module in other Polish research and academic libraries.
