W erze cyfryzacji wzrasta znaczenia podejścia analitycznego w praktyce funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstw. Z tego powodu coraz istotniejsze staje się posiadanie kompetencji posługiwania się analityką biznesową przez współczesnych menedżerów. W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań ankietowych dotyczących poziomu kompetencji analitycznych menedżerów oraz ich potrzeb edukacyjnych w tym obszarze. Uzyskane wyniki potwierdzają wysoką świadomość konieczności posiadania tych kompetencji oraz wskazują edukację formalną jako pożądany sposób eliminacji luki kompetencyjnej w zakresie analityki biznesowej.

In the era of digitalization grows the importance of the analytical approach in the practice of the functioning of enterprises. For this reason, it becomes increasingly important the possession by contemporary managers the competencies to utilize the business analytics. The paper presents the results of the survey concerning the level of the analytical competences of managers and their educational needs in this area. The results confirm the high awareness of the need to have these competencies and indicate the formal education as a desirable way to eliminate the competency gap in the field of business analytics.
