Abstracts

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie głównych społeczno-ekonomicznych determinant aktywności fizycznej. (...) W opracowaniu wyznaczono względny wpływ czynników ekonomicznych i demograficznych na zapotrzebowanie na zajęcia sportowe w Polsce. W tym celu wykorzystano dwa duże zbiory danych społeczno-ekonomicznych: Badanie budżetów gospodarstw domowych (BBGD) i dodatkowe dane na temat uczestnictwa w sporcie, uzyskane z badania modułowego Uczestnictwo Polaków w sporcie i rekreacji ruchowej. W szczególności jesteśmy zainteresowani określeniem względnego wpływu takich cech, jak wiek: wykształcenie, miejsce zamieszkania i poziom dochodu na prawdopodobieństwo udziału w zajęciach sportowych oraz spojrzenie na ekonomiczne i społeczne uwarunkowania uczestnictwa w sporcie. Chcemy sprawdzić, czy profil uczestnika zajęć sportowych jest podobny do wskazywanego w innych badaniach oraz czy istnieją niepowtarzalne cechy charakterystyczne dla Polski. (...)Czy niski poziom dochodów działa jako istotna bariera do uprawiania sportu oraz czy istnieją regionalne różnice w uczestnictwie sportowym? During recent years in European countries, including Poland, increasing involvement in sport and physical activity is observed. The article tackles the problem of identifying the key determinants of participation in sport and physical activity. Using individual data from the Polish research participation in sport and recreation and the household budget surveys the impact of individual social, demographic and economic characteristics are estimated on sports and recreational activity. Characteristics such as age, education as well as a per capita income in the household are key determinants of the participation in sport. (original abstract)
