Abstracts
The access to banking is seen as a universal need in most developed and cashless societies. The aim of this article is to present comprehensive data on the number of unbanked and underbanked households in Poland and UE countries. The main purpose of this analysis was to find out the barriers of using banking account among the society and try to compare actions undertaken in Poland by the banking sector as the main fundament of the prevention of banking and financial exclusion.
