The aim of this paper is the analysis of the possibilities, given by the capital agreement, of precise risk management of banks. Different methods of operational risk measurement are described. Advantages and disadvantages of using these methods and problems connected with them are stressed. The role of the additional insurance agreement in lowering operational risk is described. Application of insurance agreement should lower the insolvency risk.
