Beatification of Primate Stefan Wyszyński inspires efforts to find traces of his presence in our region. A unique place connected with his person is the Capuchin monastery in Rywałd. After all, it was in the cell of this monastery that he spent the first 17 days of his imprisonment. This article recalls Primate’s visit to the General House of the Congregation of the Shepherd Sisters of Divine Providence in Jabłonowo Pomorskie, a place located near Rywałd. The visit took place on June 10–11th, 1965. Primate came to the Shepherdess Sisters’ religious house on the occasion of the centenary of the birth and 30th anniversary of the death of the founder of the religious community, Mother Maria Karłowska. The article includes a source text describing Primate’s visit, which was recorded in the chronicle of the general house.
