General Marian Przewłocki was one of the most remarkable Polish generals in the Polish army. Born on February 27th, 1888, in Kamieniec, joined the Russian the Russian Imperial army in 1909 and was assigned to cavalry. During the First World War he fought against Germany. In 1918 he joined Polish Army and took an active part in defending independence of Poland in 1918–1921. In the interwar period, he was Head of Science at Cavalry Training Centre in Grudziądz, commander of 14th Jazłowiec Lancers Regiment, 3rd Independent Cavalry Brigade, Kresowa Cavalry Brigade, and many more. During the Second World War General Przewłocki was serving in Polish Armed Forces – he was Chief of Staff in the Polish Army on the East and commander of Base of II Corps. After 1945 General Przewłocki decided not to come back to Poland and settle in the UK instead. He died on December 20th, 1966.
