The polls, at least the last decade, consistently indicate that family and health are the most important values for Poles. No less important is the house, understood both as a place of refuge, and often synonymous with the concept of family. In both cases, the family and a house are provided the sine qua non of to give a sense of security. This article attempts to illustrate the interrelationship between the above-mentioned realities of human life, the attempts at redefinition and the devaluation of these social realities.
