The content of the article is a literary-exegetical analysis of Mt 19:10–12. This pericope deals with the subject of celibacy. When Jesus speaks of the unmarried, he uses the word “eunuchs”. He distinguishes three groups of eunuchs, the first two of which do not raise any doubts. However, the most surprising is the third group, as they are the ones who made themselves “eunuchs” for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. We are dealing here with a metaphorical approach to the celibate. It is emphasized that this state of life is not understandable for everyone, but only for the chosen ones, for those who do it for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. In Jesus’ speech, we find traces of typically Semitic literary structures and figures. We are dealing here with the spiral structure of the phrase (Mt 19:12a–c), which is typical of the Semitic form of mashal, which confirms that we are dealing with ipsissima verba Jesu. The researched pericope constitutes its own material, characteristic only for the Gospel of Matthew. It perfectly fits the structure and editorial concept of chapters 19 and 20. The study shows the biblical, evangelical rooting of celibacy, the source of which is Jesus himself.

Inhalt des Artikels ist eine literarisch-exegetische Analyse von Mt 19,10–12. Diese Perikope beschäftigt sich mit dem Thema Ehe. Jesus verwendet das Wort „Eunuchen“, wenn er von unverheirateten Frauen spricht. Er unterscheidet drei Gruppen (Kategorien) von Eunuchen, von denen die ersten beiden aus natürlichen Gründen (Geburtsfehler, Kastration) existieren, während die dritte Gruppe aus denen besteht, die sich um des Himmelreiches willen zu Eunuchen gemacht haben. Der Begriff „Eunuchen“ wird hier in einem metaphorischen Sinne verstanden, der betont, dass der Zölibat und die Wahl des Zölibats, die einige Auserwählte treffen, nicht von allen verstanden wird. In der Rede Jesu gibt es literarische Strukturen und Formen, die für die semitische Ausdrucksweise typisch sind, einschließlich der spiralförmigen Struktur der Phrase (V. 12a–c), die für die mashal-Form typisch ist, die auf ipsissima verba Jesu hinweisen könnte. Die zu untersuchende Perikope ist das Material von Evangelia Matthew. Es fügt sich perfekt in die Struktur und das redaktionelle Konzept der Kapitel 19 und 20 ein. Die Studie zeigt die evangelische Verwurzelung des Zölibats, dessen Quelle Jesus selbst ist.

Treścią artykułu jest analiza literacko-egzegetyczna Mt 19,10–12. Perykopa ta porusza tematykę bezżeństwa. Jezus mówiąc o bezżennych używa słowa „eunuchowie”. Wyróżnia trzy grupy (kategorie) eunuchów, z których dwie pierwsze istnieją z przyczyn naturalnych (defekty od urodzenia, kastracja), natomiast trzecią grupę stanowią ci, którzy sami siebie uczynili eunuchami ze względu na królestwo niebios. Termin „eunuchowie” jest tu rozumiany w znaczeniu metaforycznym, przez co podkreśla się, że bezżeństwo i wybór życia w celibacie, który podejmują niektórzy wybrani, nie są dla wszystkich zrozumiałe. W mowie Jezusa występują typowe dla semickiego sposobu wyrażania się struktury i formy literackie, między innymi spiralna struktura frazy (w. 12a–c), która jest typowa dla formy maszal, co może wskazywać na ipsissima verba Jesu. Badana perykopa stanowi materiał własny Ewan¬gelii Mateusza. Doskonale wpisuje się w strukturę i zamysł redakcyjny rozdziałów 19 i 20. Opracowanie ukazuje ewangeliczne zakorzenienie celibatu, którego źródłem jest sam Jezus.
