Artykuł przedstawia zagadnienie pogody ducha jako radości paschalnej w pismach św. Urszuli Ledóchowskiej. Założycielka Zgromadzenia Sióstr Urszulanek Serca Jezusa Konającego, której duchowość cechuje się realizmem, ukazuje przede wszystkim rzeczywisty fundament postawy pogody ducha i jej najgłębsze źródła. W ujęciu matki Ledóchowskiej pogoda ducha jest dojrzałą syntezą radości i cierpienia, jest doświadczeniem mocy Boga działającej w słabości człowieka; stanowi dar, który wymaga od osoby zarówno wyrzeczenia, jak i świadomej współpracy z Bogiem; nie można pojąć pogody ducha bez tajemnicy krzyża Chrystusowego. Święta Urszula akcentuje ascetyczny i apostolski charakter pogody ducha. Artykuł uzasadnia – wbrew temu, co już próbowano pokazać (jakoby pogoda ducha prowadziła do wątpliwej teologicznie „duchowości optymizmu”) – że pogoda ducha wiąże się z duchowością nadziei teologalnej.

The article presents the issue of serenity as Easter joy in the writings of St. Urszula Ledóchowska. The foundress of the Congregation of the Ursuline Sisters of the Agonizing Heart of Jesus, whose spirituality is characterized by realism, shows above all the real foundation of the attitude of serenity and its deepest sources. According to Mother Ledóchowska, serenity is a mature synthesis of joy and suffering, it is an experience of God’s power working in human weakness; it is a gift that requires a person to both renounce and consciously cooperate with God; it cannot be understood without the mystery of the Cross of Christ. Saint Ursula emphasizes the ascetic and apostolic nature of cheerfulness. The article justifies – contrary to what has already been tried to show (that the serenity leads to theologically questionable „spirituality of optimism”) – that serenity is connected with the spirituality of theological hope.
