The aim of the research discussed in this paper is to determine the scale, directions of changes and the degree of diversification of area structure of farms in Poland in the period of 2010–2016, in terms of typological groups of voivodships. The research was conducted on the basis of the data of Statistics Poland regarding the number of agricultural farms by size groups in voivodships for the years of 2010 and 2016. The following farm size groups were adopted in the analysis: farmland under 2 ha, farmland of 2–5 ha, farmland of 5–10 ha, farmland of 10–20 ha, farmland of 20–50 ha, and farmland of or over 50 ha. Based on fuzzy classification, four typological groups, consisting of voivodships of a similar area structure, were selected. Next, changes in the structure of typological groups and intergroup differentiation were presented. There occurred a fall in the number of farms up to 10 ha and the growth in the number of farms over 50 ha in all typological groups, but the dynamics and scale of these changes were diverse in regions. The biggest fall has been observed in the number of farms in voivodships with the most fragmented agricultural structure. The structure of typological groups has changed only slightly.

Celem badania omawianego w niniejszej pracy jest określenie skali, kierunków zmian oraz stopnia zróżnicowania struktury obszarowej gospodarstw rolnych w Polsce w latach 2010–2016 w ujęciu grup typologicznych województw. Badanie przeprowadzono na podstawie danych GUS dotyczących liczby gospodarstw rolnych według grup obszarowych w układzie województw za lata 2010 i 2016. W analizie przyjęto następujące grupy wielkościowe gospodarstw: do 2 ha użytków rolnych, 2–5 ha, 5–10 ha, 10–20 ha, 20– –50 ha oraz 50 ha i więcej. Opierając się na klasyfikacji rozmytej, wyodrębniono cztery grupy typologiczne, składające się z województw o podobnej strukturze obszarowej gospodarstw. Następnie przedstawiono zmiany w strukturze grup typologicznych i zróżnicowaniu międzygrupowym. We wszystkich grupach stwierdzono spadek ogólnej liczby gospodarstw, głównie gospodarstw do 10 ha, i wzrost liczby gospodarstw powyżej 50 ha, przy czym dynamika i skala zmian były zróżnicowane regionalnie. W największym stopniu zmniejszyła się liczba gospodarstw w województwach o najbardziej rozdrobnionej strukturze agrarnej. Struktura grup typologicznych zmieniła się nieznacznie.
