The subject of the article is to present and analyze, from the Polish perspective, the proposals of the Council of the European Union regarding the directions of changes in social security regulations regarding the coverage (formal and effective) of platform workers to social protection, the possibility of preservation, accumulation or transferring rights and the adequacy of the level of protection (including the amount of benefits), in the context of the specific conditions related to the performance of platform work, as formulated in the Council Recommendation of 8 November 2019 on access to social protection for workers and the self-employed.

Przedmiotem artykułu jest przedstawienie i analiza z polskiej perspektywy propozycji Rady Unii Europejskiej dotyczącycej kierunków zmian regulacji ubezpieczeń społecznych odnośnie do dostępu (formalnego i rzeczywistego) platform workers do ochrony socjalnej, możliwości utrzymywania, gromadzenia lub przenoszenia uprawnień oraz odpowiedniości poziomu ochrony (w tym wysokości świadczeń) w kontekście specyficznych uwarunkowań związanych z wykonywaniem pracy platformowej, a sformułowanych w zaleceniu Rady z dnia 8 listopada 2019 r. w sprawie dostępu pracowników oraz osób samozatrudnionych do ochrony socjalnej.
