Product returns issues in logistics management is insufficiently recognized. Reverse logistics process directly affects the cost of logistics and, indirectly, the financial result of the company. Returns in the supply chain are undesirable, but there are also inevitable. Article answers the questions: what are the causes of returned products at different stages of the flow in the supply chain, why the phenomenon is increasing and whether and how to limit the volume of returns.

Temat zwrotów produktów w zarządzaniu logistycznym jest niedostatecznie rozpoznany. Zarządzanie procesem zwrotów wpływa bezpośrednio na koszty logistyki, a pośrednio na wynik finansowy przedsiębiorstwa. Zwroty w łańcuchu dostaw są niepożądane, ale są też nieuniknione. Artykuł odpowiada na pytania: skąd się biorą zwroty towarów na różnych etapach przepływu w łańcuchu dostaw, jakie są przyczyny nasilenia zjawiska oraz czy i jak można ograniczać wolumen zwrotów.
