Two years have now passed since the adoption of split payment for value-added tax as part of the Polish legislation, so the moment is just right for initial conclusions and summaries. Rather than analysing the functioning of the model in Poland in vast amounts of detail, this study seeks to present the Polish mechanism against its evolution and functions to be fulfilled in the future, including in the context of its underlying international models. In 2021, a re-consultation is expected of the Polish construction of the mechanism in question with the competent EU bodies. The time is now appropriate for the first reflection, before entering the dialogue with the European Commission over the form of split payment to be binding in Poland in the years to come.

Dwa lata obowiązywania w polskim porządku prawnym metody podzielonej płatności (MPP, ang. split payment) w VAT to dobry moment na pierwsze wnioski i podsumowania. Celem niniejszego opracowania jest nie tyle szczegółowa analiza kształtu MPP w Polsce, a przedstawienie polskiego modelu na tle jego ewolucji i funkcji jakie ma spełniać w przyszłości również w kontekście jego międzynarodowych wzorców. W przyszłym roku rozpocznie się proces ponownej konsultacji polskiej konstrukcji MPP z organami UE. To dobry czas na pierwsze refleksje zanim podejmiemy kolejny dialog z KE w zakresie dalszego kształtu MPP w Polsce.
