This article is dedicated to all those, who are engaged in the ministry of writing provincial and community chronicles. All the efforts to write a good chronicle are greatly valued. At the same time, we know that it is important for all chroniclers to follow the guidelines and directives. To help you to write more effectively annual chronicles, this article offers a proposal which is based on many years of experience in writing chronicles in the Mission Congregation of the Servants of the Holy Spirit. John Paul II, in a speech of 04 April 1981, referred to the importance of carefully maintaining accurate chronicles of our life in service to the Congregation and the Church. „There is no doubt that archives can be called Temples of Wisdom due to the wealth of knowledge which they contain and the impulse they give to critical, scientific and historical research”. Therefore we have to be willing and faithful to keep chronicles.
