Interactions of Polish and Ukrainian youth with peers with disabilities at school and their readiness for educational integration

The article presents findings of the study on the integration readiness among Polish and Ukrainian youth. Interactions of surveyed students with their peers with disabilities at earlier educational stages have been taken into account in the analysis. Study findings reveal statistically significant differences between the studied national groups. In many areas, Ukrainian youth obtained a higher level of integration readiness in comparison to their Polish counterparts. Interestingly, it has been also found that in the case of Ukrainina youth, the level of intergration readiness is not differentiated by having integration experiences, whereas for young people from Poland, such experiences are conducive to differentiation of the studied readiness.

Artykuł prezentuje wyniki badań gotowości integracyjnej młodzieży polskiej i ukraińskiej. Analiza uwzględnia kontakty badanych uczniów z rówieśnikami z niepełnosprawnością na wcześniejszych etapach edukacyjnych. Wyniki badań ujawniają istotne statystycznie różnice między badanymi grupami narodowymi. Młodzież ukraińska uzyskała w wielu obszarach wyższe natężenie gotowości integracyjnej niż młodzież polska. Interesujące jest także ustalenie, iż w przypadku młodzieży ukraińskiej wysokość tego natężenia nie jest różnicowana przez posiadanie doświadczeń integracyjnych, podczas gdy w przypadku młodzieży z Polski takie doświadczenia sprzyjają różnicowaniu badanej gotowości.
