Social integration and integration education in the opinion of teachers and parents of eighth grade students of a public elementary school The idea of social integration and integration education is a great challenge not only for the Polish education system, but also for theoretical analyzes, scientific research and specific practical solutions. The goal is to shape an integrated society, i.e. a society in which every human being will be able to function in accordance with their capabilities and their own choices. However, in order to build an integrated society, as shown by the results of the study reported in the content of this article, specific targeted actions are needed to shape positive attitudes towards the assumptions and postulates promoted by the concept of social integration and integration education, and the belief that these are just and needed by all members society, not only to those who do not meet the accepted standards of psychophysical functioning, but also to those who meet these standards on an average or even above average scale.

Realizacji idei integracji społecznej i edukacji integracyjnej jest wielkim wyzwaniem nie tylko dla polskiego systemu edukacji, ale także dla analiz teoretycznych, badań naukowych i konkretnych rozwiązań praktycznych. Celem jest ukształtowanie zintegrowanego społeczeństwa, tj. społeczeństwa, w którym każdy człowiek będzie mógł funkcjonować zgodnie ze swoimi możliwościami i własnymi wyborami. Jednak, w celu zbudowania zintegrowanego społeczeństwa, jak pokazują wyniki badań przedstawionych w treści danego artykułu, potrzebne są konkretne i ukierunkowane działania na rzecz kształtowania pozytywnych postaw wobec założeń i postulatów promowanych przez koncepcję integracji społecznej i edukacji integracyjnej oraz przekonanie, że są one słuszne i potrzebne wszystkim członkom społeczeństwa, nie tylko tym, którzy nie spełniają przyjętych standardów funkcjonowania psychofizycznego i psychospołecznego, ale także tym, którzy spełniają te standardy na poziomie średnim lub nawet znacznie powyżej powszechnie przyjętej średniej.
