Inventory of the property was made in 1557, when the monastery in Supraśl was governed by archimandrite Sergiusz Kimbar. Inventory sheets contained among other codes of monastic library. Register covered books, which were collected by predecessors of archimandrite Kimbar and manuscripts acquired in his time. In the mid-sixteenth century monastery library had the collection of over 200 books, as shows the register. Throughout history, both monastery and its book collection passed the tragic fate, what resulted in fragmentation and irreversible loss of collected books. Part of monastery books were borrowed and appropriated, part of them were destroyed as a result of improper storage. The rest of hidden and preserved manuscripts were exported to Vilnius, Petersburg and Moscow. The article shows and describes manuscripts from the collection of sixteenth century library of Supraśl monastery.
