Abstracts
Considering the ways metaphysics functions in popular culture, one can observe two fundamental manners of its manifestation: examination of diverse phenomena present in the popular circulation from the angle of metaphysics; using topics of metaphysical reflection in the construction of storylines so as to connect spirituality of sometimes exotic cults to phenomena known by audience from beyond-text experience. However, if one accepts the fact that pop culture texts are the reflection of mass imagination which creates basis for them, it is easier to understand not only sensitivity of modern consumer of popular circulation products. It becomes clear why metaphysical issues, even in demoted form, appear in the modern pop culture.
