Changes which are following in the farms’ environment, due e.g. from the amendments to provisions associated with the completion of the Common Agricultural Policy, cause the need to update the knowledge by farmers. The aim of the study was to characterize the process of transfer of agricultural knowledge, including factors both supporting it, as well as restrictions. To realize the goal were used the results of its own survey, conducted among 269 employees of state-owned agricultural advisory centers of the voivodships: lubelskie, podlaskie i warmińsko-mazurskie. State entities advice are delivering to farmers and any other entity functioning in rural areas the most current information. In this way can be implemented new solutions, whilst minimizing the investment cost and cost of the capital. For increasing of efficiency of advisory process should be reduced accompanying barrier. In this category, most often cited are the excessive bureaucracy and the lack of appropriate incentives for the use of this type of service.
