The article contains an analysis of the construction of the narrative of the Shoah, using motifs from the Book of Esther. Non‑fiction book: Code of Esther, 2013 (Le Code d’Esther, 2012), written by French journalists: Bernard Benyamin and Yohan Perez is a record of investigative journalism. During the investigation various interpretations of the “enigmatic” words of Julius Streicher – a Nazi war criminal in the context of the biblical text are recalled. The title of the book and its cover’s design predicts sensation while the attractiveness of the communication is achieved by using of multimedia elements (online videos illustrating the described events, accessible through QR codes placed in the book), and an invitation to interact through thematic websites, social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. The authors, belonging to the “second generation”, derive knowledge and experiences through mediation, which is the reason of the treatment of the book in terms of post‑memory.

This article is dedicated to three Cracovian families, very recognizable in the Polish society: the Estreichers, the Zolls and the Stuhrs. The (auto)biographical stories written by the representatives of those families became the basis for the analysis of their relation with Krakow. Three selected cases have many characteristics in common such as a strong sense of their family identity, public activities of many members of the families, their connections with Krakow as an academic, cultural and scientific center which are accented with emphasis. Those cases are the great examples of the best recognized symbol of the city (which is earnestly sought by the local government and the creators of brands of the city), that is a human. From this point of view, man is shown as a member of his basic environment which is the family (home).

Celem artykułu jest prezentacja Camino del Norte jako jednego z wielu hiszpańskich szlaków, które zbiegają się w sanktuarium świętego Jakuba w Santiago de Compostela. W 2015 roku wraz z innymi drogami północnej Hiszpanii szlak ten został wpisany na Listę Światowego Dziedzictwa UNESCO, stanowiąc jednocześnie alternatywę dla najpopularniejszej współcześnie wersji Camino Francés. W tekście zastosowano metodę studium przypadku. Analiza treści dotyczyła materiałów źródłowych dotyczących Camino del Norte, które stanowią drukowane teksty literackie, popularne, naukowe oraz wypowiedzi zamieszczone na forach, blogach internetowych tzw. caminowiczów, czyli autorów, którzy sami odbyli drogę św. Jakuba. Wykorzystano też materiały pozyskane przez autora w trakcie jego pielgrzymek i obserwacji uczestniczącej.
