Este artigo se apresenta como uma possibilidade de discussão e negociação no processo de pro-dução e escritura na pesquisa sobre mobilidade humana numa perspectiva multidisciplinar, asso-ciando dois métodos de pesquisa: a história de vida e a etnobiografia. Propõe ampliar o debate e imprimir novos ritmos e tonalidades às investigações de caráter interdisciplinar em torno do fe-nômeno da mobilidade humana. Tem como referência de sistematização empírica o processo de investigação com uma migrante brasileira que partiu muito jovem para o Japão, tentou retornar para o Brasil por duas vezes e, por fim, depois de 15 anos vivendo naquele país, fez o processo de retorno definitivo após experienciar o trauma do sismo e do tsunami ocorridos em 2011.

This article presents a possibility of discussion and negotiation in the production process and writing in the research about human mobility using multidisciplinary perspective and associating two research methods: life history and ethnography. It proposes to expand the discussion and gives new rhythms and tonalities to interdisciplinary investigations in the human mobility phe-nomenon. As a reference of empirical systematization of the research process started with a Brazilian migrant who left very young for Japan, attempt to return to Brazil twice, and finally, after 15 years, returned definitely after experiencing the trauma from the earthquake and tsunami that occurred in 2011.
