Chmura obliczeniowa (Cloud Computing) stanowi obecnie ważny trend na rynku IT. Usługi Cloud Computing polegają na dostarczeniu i udostępnianiu wydajnych i skalowalnych zasobów IT (sprzętu, oprogramowania i usług), a usługodawca, którym jest zwykle podmiot zewnętrzny (ewentualnie wewnętrzny dział IT), oferuje usługi informatyczne odbiorcom za pośrednictwem sieci. Chmura obliczeniowa dynamicznie się rozwija zarówno w Polsce, jak i poza jej granicami i coraz częściej uzupełnia, a nawet zastępuje klasyczną formę wdrożeń technologii informatycznych w organizacjach. W artykule, na bazie raportów i opracowań firm analityczno-doradczych i innych organizacji, przedstawiono aktualny stan i prognozy rozwoju Cloud Computing w Polsce oraz niektórych krajach UE. Wskazano również bariery warunkujące dalszy rozwój Cloud Computingu w Polsce.

Cloud computing is now an important trend in the IT market. Cloud Computing services function by delivery and provision of efficient and scalable IT resources (hardware, software and services), and the service provider, which is usually an external subject (or internal IT department), offers IT services to customers via the network. Cloud computing is growing rapidly, both in Poland and abroad, and more often complements or even replaces the classical form of implementation of information technology in organizations. In the paper on the basis of reports and studies research prepared by different organizations the current status and forecast of Cloud Computing development in Poland and in some EU countries were presented. It also identified barriers conditioning the further development of Cloud Computing in Poland.

Project management support systems in the SaaS model in the activity of virtual organizations

Nowadays, the Software as a Service model is an increasingly popular method of acquiring and using IT systems such as project management support systems. The SaaS model consists in making IT systems available in the Internet space for a fee, which users can use online. The aim of the article is to analyse the possibilities of using project management support systems offered in the SaaS model in the activities of a virtual organization. The article introduces virtual organizations, emphasizing their features, structure and the role of IT technology in their functioning. The next section presents the general characteristics of the SaaS model and highlights the benefits and risks of using PMS systems in the SaaS model. Then, various conditions related to the purchase and use of PMS systems were signalled in the form of a service supporting the activities of a virtual organization. Finally, some PMS systems available in the SaaS model that can support the activities of domestic and international virtual organizations were listed.

Współcześnie coraz popularniejszym sposobem nabycia i użytkowania systemów informatycznych, takich jak systemy wspomagające zarządzanie projektem, jest model Software as a Service. Model SaaS polega na odpłatnym udostępnianiu w przestrzeni internetowej systemów informatycznych, z których użytkownicy mogą korzystać w trybie online. Celem artykułu jest analiza możliwości zastosowania systemów wspomagających zarządzanie projektami oferowanych w modelu SaaS w działalności organizacji wirtualnej. W artykule na wstępie omówiono organizacje wirtualne, podkreślając jej cechy, strukturę i rolę technologii IT dla jej funkcjonowania. W dalszej części przedstawiono ogólną charakterystykę modelu SaaS oraz podkreślono korzyści i zagrożenia związane z użytkowaniem systemów PMS w modelu SaaS. Następnie zasygnalizowano różnorodne uwarunkowania związane z nabyciem i użytkowaniem systemów PMS w formie usługi do wspomagania działalności organizacji wirtualnej. W końcowej części pracy wymieniono niektóre systemy PMS dostępne w modelu SaaS, które mogą wspierać działalność krajowych i międzynarodowych organizacji wirtualnych.

The economic practice shows that outsourcing can be very useful tool for small enterprises. It can support different kinds of their activities, e.g. finances, accounting, human resources and salary management, sales and marketing. I he scope of utsourcing services depends of small enterprises' needs and outsourcers' offers. Thanks tlie rapid grow and progress of Information Technology, it is possible to implement the technology to the outsourcing services realisation. The outsourcing services can be realised by wide area network, usually via Internet. In effect, it is possible to propose the new kind of outsourcing - the virtual outsourcing. The paper shows possibilities of using the virtual outsourcing in small enterprises and areas where it can be applying.

Małe przedsiębiorstwa stanowią istotny element gospodarki narodowej. Podobnie jak większe podmioty gospodarcze dążą one do racjonalizacji prowadzonej przez siebie działalności. Jednym z narzędzi wykorzystywanych w tym celu jest outsourcing. Może on być wykorzystywany w różnych obszarach działalności np.: finanse i księgowość, administracja personalna i place lub marketing. Postęp technologii informacyjnej powoduje, że zwiększają się możliwości wykorzystywania systemów informatycznych. Jednym z możliwych rozwiązań może być zastosowanie rozwiązań informatycznych do realizacji outsourcingu. Na tej kanwie osadzona jest koncepcja wirtualnego outsourcingu. Prezentowany artykuł analizuje możliwości zastosowania wirtualnego outsourcingu w małych przedsiębiorstwach, a także wskazuje potencjalne obszary ich działalności gdzie może być on wykorzystany.

Współczesne zarządzanie przedsiębiorstwem wymaga zastosowania właściwych technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych. W chwili obecnej niezwykle dynamicznie rozwija się model przetwarzania w chmurze obliczeniowej (Cloud Computing) oferujący korzystanie za pośrednictwem sieci z różnych zasobów IT (sprzęt, platforma, oprogramowanie) w formie usług. Rozwiązania IT dostępne w chmurze obliczeniowej mogą być wykorzystywane zarówno przez duże, jak i mniejsze przedsiębiorstwa. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie możliwości wspomagania działalności przedsiębiorstw rozwiązaniami IT dostępnymi w chmurze obliczeniowej oraz wskazanie korzyści, zagrożeń i perspektyw rozwoju modelu Cloud Computing. W artykule na wstępie przedstawiono zarys modelu Cloud Computing, następnie określono jego korzyści i zagrożenia oraz omówiono możliwości wspierania działalności przedsiębiorstw rozwiązaniami IT dostępnymi w chmurze obliczeniowej. Wskazano również niektóre wyniki badań odnoszące się do wykorzystywania chmury obliczeniowej w polskich przedsiębiorstwach. W końcowej części artykułu zaprezentowano wstępne wyniki badań ankietowych dotyczące użytkowania rozwiązań dostępnych w modelu Cloud Computing. Wyniki badań wskazują, iż rozwiązania IT dostępne w chmurze obliczeniowej są pozytywnie postrzegane przez respondentów w zakresie usprawniania działalności przedsiębiorstw.

The contemporary enterprise management requires the use of appropriate information and communication technologies. At present, the cloud computing model is developing dynamically, offering the use of various IT resources (hardware, platform, software) in the form of services via the network. IT solutions available in the cloud can be used by both, large and small enterprises. The main purpose of the article is to present the possibilities of supporting business operations with IT solutions available in the cloud computing and to indicate the benefits, threats and further development perspectives of the Cloud Computing model. The article introduces the outline of the Cloud Computing model, defines its benefits and threats, and discusses the possibilities of supporting business operations with IT solutions available in the cloud computing. Some research results relating to the use of cloud computing in Polish enterprises were also indicated. The final part of the article presents the preliminary results of surveys on the use of solutions available in the Cloud Computing model. The research results indicate that IT solutions available in the cloud are positively perceived by respondents in the field of improving the operations of enterprises.
