W pracy socjalnej opartej na zasadzie empowerment szczególnie istotnym elementem, od którego zależy skuteczność pomagania, jest gotowość osoby wspomaganej do dokonywania zmian. Prezentowany artykuł ma na celu pomóc pracownikowi socjalnemu w budowaniu takiej gotowości u osób, które nie są zdecydowane na zmiany, poprzez nabycie przez niego umiejętności motywowania. Omówiono w nim rolę motywacji w procesie pomagania oraz przedstawiono praktyczne wskazówki dla pracownika socjalnego, jak skutecznie motywować, w tym zaproponowano narzędzia motywacyjne do wykorzystania w pracy socjalnej.

Today’s complex social situation, pandemic and isolation place demands on the social assistance system. Society is experiencing a number of difficulties and identifies the needs that social workers have to face. Support for overcoming this crisis requires a new approach. Strengthen methods and tools for preventive and interventional work. The article shows the context of social intervention work and the organisational requirements for the social assistance system. It also draws attention to the problems experienced and the needs identified by clients benefiting from the support of the crisis intervention centre.

Dzisiejsza złożona sytuacja społeczna, pandemia oraz izolacja stawia wymagania przez systemem pomocy społecznej. Społeczeństwo przeżywa wiele trudności oraz identyfikuje potrzeby, z którymi muszą się zmierzyć pracownicy służb społecznych. Wsparcie w przezwyciężaniu tego kryzysu wymaga nowego podejścia. Wzmocnienia metod i narzędzi pracy profilaktycznej i interwencyjnej. Artykuł ukazuje kontekst interwencyjnej pracy socjalnej oraz wymagań organizacyjnych stawianych przed systemem pomocy społecznej. Zwraca również uwagę na przeżywane problemy i identyfikowane potrzeby przez klientów korzystających ze wsparcia ośrodka interwencji kryzysowej.

In the empowerment-based social work, a particularly important element on the effectiveness of helping is the willingness of the assisted person to introduce changes. The presented article aims to help a social worker in building such readiness for people who are not determined to change, by acquiring the ability to motivate them. It discusses the role of motivation in the process of helping and presents practical tips for a social worker on how to effectively motivate, including incentive tools for use in social work.
