This paper consists of an analysis of books and writings published by Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (Registered Association of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Poland) during the period of PRL (Polish People’s Republic). Short history of the organization in Poland is presented. The emphasis is put on analysing the language of publications and not the doctrine of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The vocabulary that is used in monthly publications is differentiated from the one used in the books published by the association. The influence of published texts on the organization is mentioned, as well as the changes that Jehovah’s Witnesses publications have been going through until present day. The importance of historic texts to the current vocabulary used by the organization is stressed, especially of the words corresponding to functions held in the organization. Keywords specific to Jehovah’s Witnesses publications are distinguished, as is the fact of basing their publications on contrasts.
