Celem badań przeprowadzonych na potrzeby artykułu była ocena wpływu migracji na wschodnioeuropejskim szlaku migracyjnym na poziom bezpieczeństwa Unii Europejskiej (UE). Szlak ten jest szczególnie istotny dla bezpieczeństwa Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej (RP), której wschodnia granica stanowi jednocześnie jedną z zewnętrznych granic UE. W artykule dokonano charakterystyki zjawiska migracji, przedstawiono jej korzyści oraz związane z nią potencjalne zagrożenia. Wskazano także kluczową rolę w zabezpieczaniu granic zewnętrznych UE Agencji Frontex, wraz z charakterystyką celu jej powołania oraz rozwoju instytucjonalnego. Główną część artykułu stanowi ocena stanu bezpieczeństwa wynikającego z migracji na wschodnioeuropejskim szlaku migracyjnym, na podstawie jej skali oraz występujących potencjalnych zagrożeń, w tym dla Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej. Przyjętym w artykule problemem badawczym było pytanie: Jaka jest skala migracji na wschodnioeuropejskim szlaku migracyjnym i w jakim stopniu wpływa ona na bezpieczeństwo Unii Europejskiej? Hipoteza przyjęła natomiast formę założenia: Skala migracji na wschodnioeuropejskim szlaku migracyjnym w porównaniu do innych szlaków nie jest znaczna i ze względu na swoje rozmiary, nie wpływa ona istotnie na bezpieczeństwo Unii Europejskiej. W procesie badawczym wykorzystano jakościowe metody badawcze, obejmujące analizę krajowych i zagranicznych źródeł literaturowych, aktów prawnych i materiałów informacyjnych Agencji Frontex oraz danych statystycznych Straży Granicznej i Agencji Frontex (z zastosowaniem techniki deskresearch).

The purpose of the research carried out for the purposes of article was to assess the impact of migration on the Eastern European migration route on the level of security of the European Union (EU). This route is particularly important for the security of the Republic of Poland (RP), whose eastern border is also one of the EU's external borders. The article characterizes the phenomenon of migration, presents its benefits and related potential threats. A key role was also indicated in securing the EU external borders of Frontex, together with the characteristics of its establishment and institutional development. The main part of the article is the assessment of the state of security resulting from migration on the Eastern European migration route, based on its scale and potential threats, including for the Republic of Poland. The research problem adopted in the article was the question: What is the scale of migration on the Eastern European migration route and to what extent does it affect the security of the European Union? However, the hypothesis took the form of the assumption: The scale of migration on the Eastern European migration route compared to other routes is not significant and due to its size, it does not significantly affect the security of the European Union. Qualitative research methods were used in the research process, including analysis of domestic and foreign literature sources, legal acts and Frontex information materials as well as Border Guard and the Frontex Agency’s statistical data (using the desk research technique).

Celem artykułu było zbadanie wpływu zjawiska migracji na poziom bezpieczeństwa publicznego Stanów Zjednoczonych jako przykładu kraju składającego się niemal w całości z imigrantów bądź ich potomków. Do realizacji celu posłużono się studium przypadku wybranych grup narodowych wraz z analizą historyczną ich znalezienia się na kontynencie północnoamerykańskim, wskazaniem głównych obszarów występowania oraz charakterystyką prowadzonych działań przestępczych. Dokonano także analizy amerykańskiego prawa migracyjnego od początku istnienia tego państwa. W artykule wykorzystano metodę analizy źródeł oraz danych wtórnych pochodzących z instytucji bezpieczeństwa narodowego Stanów Zjednoczonych oraz z okresowych spisów ludności.

The purpose of this article was to explore the impact of migration on the level of public safety in United States as an example of a country consisting close entirely of immigrants or their scions. The case study of selected national groups, along with historical analysis of their presence on the North American continent, indicates the main areas of occurrence and characteristics of criminal activities. An analysis of the American migration law has been made since the beginning of this state. A methodology was used to analyze sources and secondary data from national security institutions of United States and periodic censuses.

The events in Ukraine from the turn of 2014 and 2015 showed the complexity of contemporary armed conflicts. For this reason, the war in Donbas is the subject of many scientific studies. Gradually, however, little space was devoted to the analysis focusing on the activities of special formations in the framework of the aforementioned Eastern Ukrainian conflict, hence the authors’ insights focused on the anti-terrorist dimension of the Donbas war. The aim of the article was to assess the legitimacy of ATO recognition as an anti-terrorist operation. Particularly important in this dimension is the expatriation of the participation of Ukrainian special forces in the conducted combat operations.

The aim of the article was to assess the current level of external security of the Republic of Korea. This was done using the integrated analysis method (SWOT and TAWS), by indicating the opportunities, threats, strengths and weaknesses of the analyzed phenomenon. When developing the analysis, the military, economic and geographical situations were taken into account. The summary of the analysis was the recommendation of a security strategy, based on the result of the performer in integrated calculation analysis.
