ЭТИМОЛОГИЧЕСКИЙ И СИНХРОНИЧЕСКИЙ ПОДХОДЫ К ЯВЛЕНИЮ ОМОНИМИИ В ПОЛЬСКОМ И РОССИЙСКОМ ЯЗЫКОЗНАНИИ Резюме В статье обсуждаются важнейшие сходства и различия в подходе к явлению омо-нимии в польском и русском языках, учитывая синхронический и этимологический подходы. Подвергаются анализу дефиниции понятия омоним в польских и русских словарях с целью указания важнейших особенностей. Особенно подчёркивается поворот в исследованиях данного явления, каким было возникновение омонимов в результате распада полисемии, что в свою очередь, связано с появлением в языкоз-нании новых понятий. Так как омонимия перестаёт восприниматься как случайность, предметом исследования являются уже не только слова разные по происхождению. Далее анализируются преимущества и недостатки каждого из подходов - этимоло-гического и синхронического, а также представляются первые попытки установления объективных критериев разграничения явлений полисемии и омонимии. На основе проведённых рассуждений, указываеются важнейшие моменты в развитиии явления омонимии и направления, по которым проводятся дальнейшие исследования. ETYMOLOGICAL VS SYNCHRONIC APPROACH OF HOMONYMY IN POLISH AND RUSSIAN LINGUISTICS Summary The subject of the article is based on differences and similarities which occur in both Polish and Russian languages according to homonymy. Under consideration there is taken synchronic and etymological approach. There are analyzed the defi nitions of the term ‘hom-onym’ in accordance to the dictionaries of both languages. Especially there is emphasized the revolutionary turn of the study of this subject as homonyms might appear in language not only by accident but as a result of disintegration of the polysemy. The article discusses also the fi rst attempts on the way to distinguish homonymy from polysemy. On the base of all these considerations, there are showed the most important moments in the evolution of this subject and directions of the further studies.

The development of civilization and related transformation processes in society are affected the system of spiritual and moral values. As a result of intense and rapid changes in the end of the 20th – beginning of the 21st century connected with globalization, completely new values began to appear, those previously established ones were enriched and new spiritual and moral values were formed as a result of a combination of traditional and new values. In connection with the growing processes of globalization, the issue of spiritual and moral values that are being spread in the media today has become very topical, especially considering that it is the mass media that play a very significant role in the struggle to preserve national and cultural identity. Therefore, the essence of our analysis constitutes of issues relating to the values that the authors of Russian media texts are guided by, the frequency of their mentioning according to the context.
