Psychomotoryczne ujęcie rozwoju dziecka jest najbardziej typowe dla wczesnego dzieciństwa. Małe dzieci poruszając się, poznają rzeczywistość, kumulują informacje i doświadczenia, w dalszej kolejności podejmują analizy poznawcze. Ciekawość, a tym samym aktywność ruchowa dziecka w tym wieku jest objawem jego zdrowia, jak również determinantem osiąganych w przyszłości sukcesów. Na rozwój dziecka ma wpływ wiele osób, jednak najważniejsi w tych oddziaływaniach są rodzice. To oni w największym stopniu decydują o jakości dzieciństwa, dobrostanie bądź chorobie dziecka. Do obowiązków rodziców należy, między innymi, wybór przedszkola, w którym dziecko spędzi dużą część swojego dzieciństwa. Celem podjętych badań sondażowych jest próba określenia oczekiwań rodziców wobec edukacji przedszkolnej oraz ocena ich świadomości potrzeby wspierania psychomotorycznego rozwoju dziecka.

Psychomotor concept of the child development is the most typical one for the early childhood. Small children get to know the reality through movement, they gather information and experience, then they draw out cognitive analyses. Curiosity and thereby physical activity of a child at this age is a sign of their health as well as a determinant for some future successes to be achieved. Many people have their impact on the child development, however the most important in these influences are parents. They decide about the quality of childhood to the highest degree: about child’s wealth or sickness. Parental duties cover, among other things, the choice of kindergarten in which a child will spend a big part of their childhood. The aim of the undertaken survey is an attempt to define the parents’ expectations towards preschool education as well as to evaluate their awareness of the need for supporting the psychomotor child’s development.
