Bancassurance polega na sprzedaży produktów finansowych i ubezpieczeniowych klientom banków przez sieć dystrybucji banku. Stwarza to korzyści i zagrożenia dla usługodawców i usługobiorców. Celem artykułu jest prezentacja obecnego rynku bancassurance w Polsce na tle całego rynku ubezpieczeniowego oraz wskazanie możliwych kierunków rozwoju w XXI wieku. W tym celu zaprezentowana zostanie analiza sprzedaży ubezpieczeń (ogółem i według kanałów dystrybucji), w szczególności w usługach bancassurance. Dodatkowym celem jest zaprezentowanie szans i zagrożeń dla klientów banków, banków i zakładów ubezpieczeń w usługach bancassurance. Materiał statystyczny ujęty w badaniu to materiał wtórny publikowany przez KNF oraz PIU. W pracy jako metody badawcze zastosowano m.in. krytyczną analizę literatury przedmiotu oraz metody statystyczne.

Bancassurance is an innovative way to provide insurance services, which includes the sale of financial and insurance products to bank customers through the bank’s distribution network. This creates benefits and risks for service providers and recipients. The aim of the article is to present the concept of bancassurance, in particular to present opportunities and threats for clients of banks, banks and insurance companies and to examine the social responsibility of business in bancassurance services. An additional goal of the article is to indicate the possible directions of bancassurance development in the 21st century. To this end, an analysis of insurance sales in Poland, in particular in the bancassurance distribution channel, will be presented. The statistical material included in the study is a secondary material published by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority and the Polish Insurance Association. The research methods included in the work are a critical analysis of the subject literature and statistical methods.
