In the article, the author undertakes to point out the most problematic places in the functioning of social assis-tance institutions in relation to the image they create. He indicates the need to introduce thinking and changes in the field of Public Relations activities that could help social welfare institutions strengthen their image, better cope with crisis situations. The author shows why such issues as internal communication, visual identification, responsibility for image or cooperation with local institutions and the local community can be a way to better functioning and more effective and more satisfying work.

W artykule wskazano najbardziej problematyczne miejsca w funkcjonowaniu instytucji pomocy społecznej względem tworzonego przez nich wizerunku. Autorka zwraca uwagę na konieczność wprowadzenia myślenia i zmian w zakresie działań, związanych z Public Relations, które mogłyby pomóc instytucjom pomocy społecznej wzmocnić swój wizerunek, lepiej radzić sobie z sytuacjami kryzysowymi. Pokazano, dlaczego takie zagadnienia, jak: komunikacja wewnętrzna, identyfikacja wizualna, odpowiedzialność za wizerunek czy współpraca z lokalnymi instytucjami i społecznością lokalną, mogą być sposobem na lepsze funkcjonowanie i efektywniejszą i bardziej satysfakcjonującą pracę.
