Съвременните български говори в Албания са един от случаите, в които диалектът се явява единствена форма за речева изява на българските общности. В диалектната реч може да се проследи както заемането на елементи от албански, така и влиянието от страна на съседните контактни славянски езици. Проучването на процеса на заемане и адаптация към регионалната езикова система може да допринесе за обяснението на хода на езиковите контакти с оглед на специфичните езикови средства за реализация на адаптацията.

Modern Bulgarian dialects in Albania are one of those instances where a dialect is the only form of the part of the neighbouring Slavic languages can be traced in the dialectal speech. A study of the process of borrowing and adaptation to the regional language system can contribute to an explanation of the development of linguistic contacts in view of the specific linguistic means behind the adaptation.
