The author of the article draws a literary portrait of Jan Grotkowski (a forgotten poet of the Baroque period) based on four poetic works of Jan Andrzej Morsztyn. In this way, an interesting figure of a writer, diplomat, and influential participant in international politics emerges from the darkness of oblivion. He is connected with the figure of Queen Bona only by a mysterious death. Thus, he is included in the list of people who, as Kantecki says “fell victims of the matter on which the curse of Queen Bona lies”. Trying to solve the issue of “Neapolitan sums”, Grotkowski, like Reszka, Mąkowski and others, died in unexplained circumstances.

Autorka artykułu kreśli literacki portret Jana Grotkowskiego (zapomnianego poety doby baroku) na podstawie czterech utworów poetyckich Jana Andrzeja Morsztyna. Tym sposobem z mroku niepamięci wyłania się ciekawa postać literata, dyplomaty, wpływowego uczestnika ówczesnej polityki międzynarodowej. Z postacią królowej Bony łączy go dopiero tajemnicza śmierć. Poeta wpisuje się tym samym na listę osób, które jak stwierdza Kantecki, „padły ofiarą sprawy, nad którą jak gdyby ciążyła klątwa królowej Bony”. Próbując rozwikłać kwestię „sum neapolitańskich”, Grotkowski, podobnie jak Reszka, Mąkowski i inni, zmarł w niewyjaśnionych okolicznościach.
