The assessment of the validity of a registered contract in administrative court proceedings is a specific form of the court´s assessment of the validity of a private act, which differs in many respects from „classical“ assessment of the validity of a private act in civil litigation. The assessment of the validity of a registered contract in administrative court proceedings is determined by the nature of the proceedings for the contribution permission between administrative (public) and civil (private) law as well as by the nature of the administrative court proceedings. In the present article, the authors analyse in more detail the individual determinants of assessing the validity of a deposit contract in civil litigation and administrative court proceedings. At the same time, the authors emphasise the need to maintain a uniform interpretation of the norms of civil (private) substantive law regarding the validity of a registered contract in the decision-making practice of civil and administrative courts.

The aim of this paper was to introduce new quantitative methods for assessment of the structure of temperament according to the regulative theory of temperament (RTT). In the paper, the structure of temperament in RTT model and conducted studies on structure were described. On the above background new indicators of potential for stimulation processing (MPS), and structure harmony (with over- and understimulation poles) (Zh1 i Zh2) were introduced. Conducted study (N=540) verified the construct assumptions of proposed indicators and suggests their usefulness in future research.

This paper engages with assessment practices in Aotearoa New Zealand. Te Whāriki, the internationally recognized early childhood curriculum framework, lies at the root of contemporary narrative assessment practices, and the concept of learning stories. We outline historical and societal underpinnings of these practices, and elevate the essence of assessment through learning stories and their particular ontological and epistemological aims and purposes. The paper emphasizes early childhood teaching and learning as a complex relational, inter-subjective, material, moral and political practice. It adopts a critical lens and begins from the premise that early childhood teachers are in the best position to make decisions about teaching and learning in their localized, contextualized settings, with and for the children with whom they share it. We examine the notion of effectiveness and ‘what works’ in assessment, with an emphasis on the importance of allowing for uncertainty, and for the invisible elements in children’s learning. Te Whāriki and learning stories are positioned as strong underpinnings of culturally and morally open, rich and complex assessment, to be constantly renegotiated within each local context, in Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond.

Six samples (total N = 660) varying in age, occupation, and nationality were asked to rate their own traits related to competence (C) and morality (M) and their self-esteem was assessed using various methods. In line with the hypothesis of competence/agency dominance in self-perception it was predicted and found that self-esteem was more strongly correlated with the C than M self-ascription. Although in absolute terms the participants ascribed to themselves significantly more M than C, the former was completely unrelated to their self-esteem. This was found in all samples (student vs non-student, younger vs older, men vs women, Polish vs Dutch) which allowed to eliminate several alternative explanations of the effect. Also in free self-descriptions elicited from one of the samples, C related self-descriptors appeared much more frequent than M-related ones. It was concluded that competence/agentic categories dominate self-perceptions (and self-esteem) over equally favourable categories related to morality and communion.

Processes of rural development require different actions and perspective planning support. This refers both to changes in the environment, as well as the processes of economic transformation or reducing the effects of demographic changes in rural areas in Germany. What is more, the basis of any planning process system is a balance between individual interests, ie, balancing the businesses of different actors. In order to develop the spatial planning at the local level in an appropriate way, plans should be described and assessed especially with regard to their efficiency, effectiveness, and their future impacts. This is served by a number of proven methods and indicators. In the article there are current approaches which aim to describe and evaluate the processes of spatial development in structurally weak rural areas in Germany. Starting from the systematic process for rural development in the Federal Republic of Germany presented are the basic theoretical and methodological approach to the collection and evaluation of individual processes at the local level of planning and administration. Next, current approaches to assessment of spatial development are presented, based on indicators. Particular emphasis was placed on the use of different assessment methods and the use of indicators. Moreover, the usefulness of these procedures of describing and evaluating rural development at the local level are presented.

Safarik's collection of poems Tatranska Muza s lyrou slovanskou (The Muse of Tatras with a Slavonic lyre, Levoca, 1814) attracts a lot of attention in the literary-historical discourse - as a rule it is regarded as an important milestone in the development of Slovak poetry, or as the first manifestation of real modern Slovak poetry. On the other hand, it overshadows - not quite fairly - other authors´ literary works written at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. Recent interpretations and analyses of the period of Slovak literature in question shows the need to review some of the profiles, especially those which comment on its influence on steering domestic literary development. Although it is indisputable, some of Safarik's poems carry features of more personal, subjective or intimate poetic expression, it cannot be overlooked that he often combined it with other poetic strategies which are just as relevant sources of information when reconstructing general outlines of the Slovak literary development. Therefore when analysing and assessing (not only) Safarik's collection, it is necessary to take account of the complete list of contemporary literary principles, a possibility of foreign influence or a number of other potential sources of inspiration, as well as the historical, social and cultural context of the overall contemporary literary production.

This article is a case study of a regional level government administration unit. Its objective is to show that mistakes in the applied personnel policy of the analyzed office may contribute to a drop in employee motivation to work as well as in employee project involvement. Thus, existing HRM policies foster the unfavorable attitude of unit officers, reinforcing the negative stereotype of the public administration employee. The article begins with a description of the influence of intangible aspects, such as changes on the national and regional political scene, on human resource management in government administration. The next part of the case study presents an analysis of HRM fields such as recruitment, remuneration, assessment, training, and development. The study was conducted on the basis of both internal office information and legal acts governing the civil service. The article ends with a summary containing conclusions and recommendations that might be useful in rebuilding the image of government administration employees.

The paper deals with the issue of computational psycholinguistic analysis (CPA) and its experimental application in basic psychological and pedagogical assessment. CPA is a new method which may potentially provide interesting, psychologically relevant information about the author of a particular text, regardless of the text’s factual (semantic) content and without the need to obtain additional materials. As part of our QPA-FPT research we studied the link between the linguistic form of a text by Czech college students and their personality characteristics obtained from a psychodiagnostic test battery. The article also discusses the basis of the method, opportunities for practical application and potential use within psychological and pedagogical disciplines.

The aim of the study is to illuminate a teacher’s conceptions of quality expressed through verbal and non-verbal actions in relation to summative assessments of dance knowledge. The following research questions are considered in the study: What conceptions of quality emerge during grade conferences? In what ways do teacher’s conceptions of quality reflect knowledge hierarchies? How do the teacher’s and student’s conceptions of quality relate to each other? To grasp the phenomenon, material was gathered during observations in a Swedish upper secondary school and from the teacher’s written reflections. Individual grading conversations were observed between the teacher and ten students attending a course called Dance technique 1. In the analytical process, the phenomenon was seen, broadened out, varied, and then condensed into two themes: conceptions of quality expressed through the teacher’s focus on abilities and conceptions of quality expressed through views on the progression of dance knowledge.

This paper outlines the approach to competitiveness analysis of economy on the level of individual catching-up countries. Simultaneously, this approach is verified by application for 6 new EU member states. Nine macroeconomic and six commodity-structural, both qualitative-oriented indicators, create the relevant criteria set for competitiveness assessment. Analysis quantified considerable although differentiated competitiveness gaps in all selected countries. These gaps can serve a starting point for formulating strategic directions in catching-up process, also on the field of competitiveness of given economy.
