During the queries performed in Vienna in 2013 in the Archives of War, 37 cartons of the following fonds were examined: The Supreme Army Command (operational, quartermaster, information branches and record office); New Field Records (Army Command 1 and 4, Army Staged Command 4, 9. and 11. Command of the Corps, 4. Infantry Division, 106th Infantry Division Landsturm); Ministry of War (War Authority Office). There were registered files relating to Józef Pilsudski (exemption from the Polish Legions and the appointment of the Provisional Council of State), the Polish Legions (volunteers and recruitment, leave, salary, awards, uniforms, promotions, refinement, orders and personnel issues, as in the First Brigade) and the Polish Military Organization (activities and investigations conducted by the Austro-Hungarian authorities).

As part of the project of Polonica registration author conducted a query at the Austrian State Archives in Vienna in June 2012. At the local department of the War Archive was conducted detailed research on the fond of the Military Chancellery of His Majesty the Emperor. Presidential, ordinary and special records were registered separately at the chancellery of that office. In registration of presidential and ordinary records was used the table system according to which the files were submitted within one year. Special records were arranged in chronological order. Research was conducted over 10 chancellery books (names and subject indexes) and files preserved in 27 boxes of 1914-1918. As a result of reseach Polonica regarding Galicia and territories of the Kingdom of Poland occupied by the Austrians were registered . Records of military associations, on political and national relations in Galicia, travel to Galicia of heir Archduke Charles, reports of Gen. Hermann Colard, the governor of Galicia, records of the military administration in the occupied Polish areas, records of the Supreme National Committee and The Polish Circle in the Vienna parliament, correspondence on Polish affairs between Minister of Foreign Affairs Stephan Burian and Chief of General Staff Gen. Franz Conrad von Hötzendorf , as well as, correspondence of Leon Biliński, Michał Bobrzyński and Leon Pinińskiego and Gen. Stanisław Szeptycki and Gen. Tadeusz Rozwadowski were identified as the result of the query.

W trakcie kwerend przeprowadzonych w Wiedniu w 2013 r. w Archiwum Wojny przebadano 37 kartonów z zespołów: Najwyższa Komenda Armii (Oddział Operacyjny, Oddział Kwatermistrzowski, Biuro Ewidencyjne, Oddział Informacyjny); Nowe Akta Polowe (Komenda 1. i 4 Armii, Komenda Etapowa 4. Armii, Komenda 9. i 11. Korpusu, 4. Dywizja piechoty, 106. Dywizja Piechoty Landszturmu); Ministerstwo Wojny (Wojenny Urząd Nadzoru). Zarejestrowano akta dotyczące Józefa Piłsudskiego (zwolnienia z Legionów Polskich i powołania do Tymczasowej Rady Stanu), Legionów Polskich (ochotników i werbunku, urlopów, poborów, odznaczeń, umundurowania, awansów, dystynkcji, rozkazów i spraw personalnych, także w I Brygadzie) i Polskiej Organizacji Wojskowej (działalności i dochodzeń prowadzonych przez władze austro-węgierskie).

W ramach programu rejestracji poloników w czerwcu 2012 r. autor prowadził kwerendę w Austriackim Archiwum Państwowym w Wiedniu. W tamtejszym Oddziale Archiwum Wojny przeprowadzono szczegółowe poszukiwania w zespole Kancelaria Wojskowa Jego Wysokości Cesarza. W kancelarii tego urzędu prowadzono registraturę oddzielnie dla akt prezydialnych, zwykłych i specjalnych. Registratury prezydialna i zwykła używały systemu rubrykowego, do których składano akta w ramach jednego roku. Akta specjalne mają układ chronologiczny. Kwerenda objęła 10 ksiąg kancelaryjnych (indeksy imienne i rzeczowe) oraz akta znajdujące się w 27 kartonach z lat 1914-1918. Zarejestrowano polonika dotyczące Galicji i ziem Królestwa Polskiego okupowanych przez Austriaków. Odnaleziono akta stowarzyszeń wojskowych, stosunków politycznych i narodowościowych w Galicji, akta dotyczące podróży do Galicji następcy tronu arcyksięcia Karola, sprawozdania namiestnika Galicji gen. Hermanna Colarda, akta administracji wojskowej na okupowanych obszarach Polski, akta Naczelnego Komitetu Narodowego i Koła Polskiego w parlamencie wiedeńskim, korespondencja ministra spraw zagranicznych Stephana Buriana i szefa sztabu generalnego gen. Franza Conrada von Hötzendorfa dotycząca spraw polskich, a także korespondencja Leona Bilińskiego, Michała Bobrzyńskiego i Leona Pinińskiego oraz gen. Stanisława Szeptyckiego i gen. Tadeusza Rozwadowskiego.
