The article presents the possibilities of using selected deciduous shrubs in agroforestry systems and woodlots, taking into account their utility values. The article describes barberry, elderberry, red elderberry, dwarf elder, bird cherry, Mongolian cherry and blackthorn. The introduction of the above-mentioned species into field woodlots, afforestation or agroforestry systems is part of global trends related to the return to the use of wild plants in medicine and the food industry.

Celem artykułu jest przybliżenie możliwości wykorzystania wybranych krzewów liściastych w systemach rolno-leśnych i w zadrzewieniach z uwzględnieniem ich walorów użytkowych. W artykule opisano berberys zwyczajny, bzy: czarny, koralowy i hebd, czeremchę zwyczajną, wisienkę stepową i śliwę tarninę. Wprowadzanie do zadrzewień śródpolnych, zalesień czy systemów rolno-leśnych wyżej wymienionych gatunków wpisuje się w ogólnoświatowe trendy związane z powrotem do wykorzystywania dziko rosnących roślin w medycynie i przemyśle spożywczym.
