Gwałtowne i głębokie przemiany gospodarcze oraz społeczne w skali globalnej w obliczu niekompletności procesu globalizacji, słabości instytucji międzynarodowych, nadmiernego zadłużania się krajów wysoko rozwiniętych, silnego wzrostu polaryzacji i nierówności w rozwoju społeczno-gospodarczym pomiędzy regionami czy narastającej fali migracji, wymuszają przedefiniowanie roli państwa w gospodarce. Celem artykułu jest odpowiedź na pytanie, czy przedsiębiorcze państwo będzie w stanie wykorzystać innowacje do rozwiązania współczesnych problemów ekonomicznych.

The violent and profound global economic and social changes in the face of incomplete globalization, weaknesses of international institutions, excessive indebtedness of highly developed countries, strong growth of polarization and the inequalities in socioeconomic development between regions or growing wave of migration force to redefinition of the role of the state in the economy. The purpose of this article is to answer the question of whether the entrepreneurial state will be able to use innovations to solve today’s economic problems.
