The study is based on the theory of inquiry-based education, which has been used mainly in Science didactics. The author presents the results of qualitative content analysis of German History textbooks for secondary schools. The aim of the research was to find out to what extent and in which way the analysis, criticism and interpretation of historical sources (written and iconic) is guided. The research findings were compared with Czech and foreign (British, French, Swiss and Austrian) textbooks for upper secondary schools. The results of the research can be used in creating modern, up-to-date texts and materials used in teaching.

The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak has been associated with many psychological and social effects, followed by a rise of fake news and false information about the condition. This study's main aim was to deeply understand people’s experiences and precise opinions about social media information on COVID-19. This qualitative study was conducted to examine the COVID-19 social media literacy using the content analysis. Participants in the study were 20 people from Hamadan Province, Iran. Data were analyzed using the MAXQDA software version 2010. Considering the results for the volume of social media literature about COVID-19, 21 subcategories and five categories were obtained. The five categories included purpose with three subcategories such as „sales for economic gain“, constructedness with five subcategories such as profiteering „advertising companies“, audience with one subcategory such as „all people“, format with five subcategories such as „highlighting the disease consequences“, and lifestyles with seven subcategories such as „drinking alcohol“. Familiarity with individuals' views based on culture and context for designing and planning educational literacy programs for media skills and competence in the new media age for distinguishing between fake and credible COVID-19 media messages and critically evaluating media content for all people is essentialespecially in the new media infodemic ecosystem. The themes obtained in the study can be used for designing educational interventions and appropriate assessment tools as well as promoting health media literacy in the field.

The main intent of the study is to investigate the conceptual framework of sustainability associated with the social, economic, and environmental context of the city of Ternopil, Ukraine. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and MetaAnalyses have been used to better understand the conceptual threshold area of sustainability. Geospatial approaches are used to measure the city’s sustainability. The results indicate that Ternopil city’s socio-economic context moderately supports sustainability, while the environmental context is less supportive. The study found that the city’s economic growth and development have caused environmental degradation, leading to the loss of biodiversity and natural resources. However, the study revealed that the city is adopting sustainable practices. The city’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) have been analysed in light of sustainability. The study recommends that policymakers and stakeholders in Ternopil City should prioritise sustainable development practices, such as implementing public transport and promoting sustainable urban planning. Overall, the study provides insights into the relationship between socioeconomic and environmental factors and sustainability in Ternopil City and highlights the need for sustainable development practices to ensure a sustainable future for the city.

The city of Rio de Janeiro was selected to host the 2016 Olympics and Paralympics Games [Rio 2016], increasing the amount of international attention focused on Brazil and its regional leadership. In this article, we investigate and describe how this event was perceived domestically in the aftermath of the announcement that Rio de Janeiro had been selected. Following a brief contextualization on the political, social and sport situation in Brazil in the years preceding its Olympic selection, we present the results of a content analysis of two national print media channels – one daily newspaper and one weekly magazine – in which we identify the major stakeholders and their interests, the challenges, and the possible legacies of Rio 2016. The study argues that, taking into account local specificities, similar discourses to past cases identified by the literature are also present in the print media, mainly the arguments of developmental discourse and identity signaling

Rio de Janeiro zostało wybrane miastem-gospodarzem Olimpijskich i Paraolimpijskich Igrzysk w roku 2016, co zwiększyło skalę międzynarodowego zainteresowania Brazylią i jej regionalnym przywództwem.

This study explores the framing of female politicians in the print media of Pakistan. Women cover over half of the population of Pakistan and with time they are actively participating in politics and have become increasingly visible in media as well. The study compares news stories in Urdu and English (Jang/Dawn) newspapers in terms of visibility, personalization, issue coverage and tone of story through quantitative content analysis over a time period of 6 months (1st June to 30th November 2019). The study concluded that female politicians receive less negative coverage in Pakistan as compared to western countries, where personal coverage is greater than issue based coverage. Comparative analysis of Urdu and English print newspapers showed that visibility and issue type vary in Jang and Dawn while personalization and tone of the story do not vary with the type of newspaper (Jang/Dawn).

W artykule wykorzystuję metodę słownikową w procesie kodowania artykułów, hierarchiczne grupowanie i modelowanie tematyczne w celu odkrywania w tych publikacjach różnych typów analiz narracyjnych i badania relacji semantycznych między nimi. Jednocześnie konfrontuję heurystyczną typologię Riessmana z podejściem opartym na lingwistyce i eksploracji danych w celu rozwijania spójnego obrazu metodologii analizy narracyjnej we współczesnej dziedzinie badań jakościowych. Ostatecznie przedstawiam nowy model myślenia o analizie narracyjnej.

The nature of qualitative research practices is multiparadigmaticity which creates coexistence of different research and analytical approaches to the study of human experience in the living world. This diversity is particularly observed in the contemporary field of narrative research and data analysis. The purpose of this article is a methodological reflection on the process of developing typology and a proposition of new data-driven and practice-based typology of narrative analyses used by qualitative researchers in the lived experience research. I merge the CAQDAS, Corpus Linguistics, and Text Mining procedures to examine the analytical strategies inherited in a vivid language of English-language research articles, published in five influential qualitative methodological journals between 2002-2016. Using the dictionary-based content analysis in the coding process, hierarchical clustering, and topic modeling – a text-mining tool for discovering hidden semantic structures in a textual body – I confront Catherine Kohler Riessman’s heuristic typology with the data-driven approach in order to contribute the more coherent image of narrative analysis in the contemporary field of qualitative research. Finally, I propose a new model of thinking about the typology of narrative analyses based upon research practices.
