We live in times of a variety of information channels. Progressing globalization has also affected the information process and the consumer market. Thus complex solution within the domain of public relations are necessary. Uncoordinated, accidental relation with the external environment surely will not help in the promotion of administrative activities. Properly realized plan of public relation actions will allow to build institutional trust and provide for protection against improper interpretation of activities. Not always facts are self-explanatory. The process of communication can give the facts their proper meaning. It is extremely important for the receiver in the process of communication to receive reliable information, adequate to truth. Therefore proper informational policy shall be inscribed within the activities of every public information. The society expects information on activities of public administration and the communication shall be realized in a manner focusing on the subject and understandable for the receiver. Thus it is important to constantly educate people responsible for communication in public institutions.

The method and the rapidity of the information are very important for the development of the information society. Continuously developed information technologies on the one hand facilitate the implementation of the communication process, but on the other are a challenge, as they offer new opportunities. One of such opportunities to access information is two-dimensional QR code. With those codes there are possibility to quickly provide the information and at the same time encourage recipient to take interactions with information. In the article Author outlines the possibilities of using QR codes and presents the results of the popularity of this method of communication among the students of the university.
