Nowa odsłona w sprawie organów w kościele pocysterskim w Lądzie nad Wartą

The organ in the former Cistercian church in Ląd on the Warta River is regarded as a valuable relic of art, not only for architectural but also for musical reasons. Its history has often appeared in academic journals, stirring considerable interest within the organology community. This article is a further exploration of that history based on the documents found, among others, in the Archdiocesan Archives in Gniezno. These records change the state of knowledge about the instrument in Ląd and confirm one of the hypotheses developed in preparation for the restoration and conservation of the Ląd instrument. In addition, the work also points out the issues of proper research in the field of history and instrumentology with regard to the organ instrument.

Organy w kościele pocysterskim w Lądzie nad Wartą uznawane są za cenny zabytek sztuki, nie tylko ze względów architektonicznych, ale również muzycznych. Ich historia nieraz pojawiała się na łamach czasopism naukowych, wzbudzając niemałe poruszenie w środowisku organoznawczym. Niniejszy artykuł stanowi kolejną odsłonę tejże historii, która możliwa była do ustalenia dzięki odnalezionym dokumentom, m.in. w Archiwum Archidiecezjalnym w Gnieźnie. Pisma te zmieniają stan wiedzy na temat instrumentu w Lądzie oraz potwierdzają jedną z hipotez, wypracowaną przy okazji przygotowania do zabiegów restauracyjno-konserwatorskich lądzkiego instrumentu. Dodatkowo praca wskazuje także na kwestie prawidłowego przeprowadzenia badań z zakresu historii i instrumentologii w odniesieniu do instrumentu organowego.
