Artykuł zawiera wyniki analizy gospodarstw ekologicznych w rolnictwie indywidualnym na podstawie danych badania strukturalnego przeprowadzonego przez GUS w czerwcu 2005 r. W analizie ograniczono się do podstawowych cech gospodarstw ekologicznych (powierzchnia i użytkowanie gruntów, zasiewy, pogłowie zwierząt gospodarskich, nakłady pracy i źródła utrzymania rodzin użytkujących te gospodarstwa). W analizie porównywano gospodarstwa ekologiczne z ogółem gospodarstw indywidualnych w układzie całego kraju oraz sześciu makroregionów (NUTS 1). Analizę wieńczą konkluzje co do przyszłości rolnictwa ekologicznego oraz dalszych badań tej formy rolnictwa. (abstrakt oryginalny)

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie społeczno-ekonomicznych zmian strukturalnych zachodzących w gospodarstwach ekologicznych w latach 2005-2010 na tle ogółu gospodarstw indywidualnych. Constitutive feature of organic farming is to carry out sustainable agricultural activity in accordance with the requirements of the soil, plants and animals. The systematic increase in the potential of the organic farms in Poland should be considered as positive and desired direction of agriculture development, due to the numerous environmental, economic and social benefits, as well as compliance with the future model of agriculture, based on renewable resources and environmental-friendly and social development of rural areas. The purpose of this article is to provide socio-economic structural changes in organic holdings between 2005 and 2010 against the background of individual agricultural holdings population. Artykuł zawiera wyniki analizy gospodarstw ekologicznych na tle pozostałych gospodarstw indywidualnych w Polsce. Materiał faktograficzny stanowią dane badań struktury gospodarstw rolnych przeprowadzone przez GUS w latach 2005 i 2007 w ramach programu Unii Europejskiej. Analiza wskazuje na znaczną dynamikę rozwoju gospodarstw ekologicznych oraz ich przewagę w zakresie podstawowej charakterystyki nad pozostałymi gospodarstwami. (abstrakt oryginalny)

This article contains results of ecological farms analysis against the background of the other individual farms in Poland. The analysis is based on structural surveys of agricultural farms data carried out by CSO in years 2005 and 2007 within a framework of European Union programmes. The analysis indicates significant dynamics of ecological farms development and their advantage over other farms in basic characteristics' scope. (original abstract)
