The activity of the company is concentrate not only on the profits but also on certain social objectives thanks to which these profits wil be higher. Establishment of corporate foundations is one of the forms of implementing such goals. The aim of the study is to present and assess the activity of Corporate Foundations in Poland. The main subject of discussion focuses on the relationship between the company, foundation and the beneficiaries as well as on the sources of income and the directions of its spending. The analysis is based on the research condacted by the Donors Forum in 2012.

Artykuł prezentuje inicjatywy Fundacji Solidarności Polsko-Czesko-Słowackiej na przestrzeni prawie ćwierćwiecza jej działalności. Wiążą się one przede wszystkim z realizacją programów propagujących demokratyzację życia społecznego, wolność słowa, przekazujących wiedzę na temat rzetelnego dziennikarstwa, podstaw składu i druku wydawnictw. Odbiorcami tych treści są przedstawiciele organizacji pozarządowych z krajów byłego ZSRR. Tego rodzaju działalność pozostaje wierna idei Solidarności Polsko- Czechosłowackiej, działającej przed rokiem 1990, a zrzeszającej opozycjonistów z Polski i Czechosłowacji, wymieniających podziemne wydawnictwa na górskich szlakach i dyskutujących o życiu w demokratycznych państwach.

The article presents the Foundation Solidarity Polish-Czech-Slovak over a quarter of its activity. It is associated primarily with the implementation of programs to promote the democratization of social life, freedom of expression, the transfer of knowledge about reliable journalism, basic composition and print publications. The recipients of these contents are representatives of NGOs from the countries of the former Soviet Union. This kind of activity remains true to the idea of the Polish-Czechoslovak Solidarity acting before 1990, and associating of the opposition of Polish and Czechoslovak underground exchanging publications on mountain trails and discussing life in democratic countries.
