Zur Bedeutung des Schüleraustausches für interkulturelles Lernen

Intercultural education is one of the most important goals of contemporary foreign language teaching. In order to keep pupils strongly motivated to learn foreign languages, they must be made to understand what benefits can be gained from a good command of foreign languages. It is due to international pupil exchanges that young people have the opportunity to come into direct contact with a foreign language, to experience foreign culture in real communicative situations, and in the process verify or overcome deeply rooted stereotypes and prejudices about certain nations. In the article, the author presents quantitative questionnaire results, which allows him to identify the heterostereotypes of Polish and German pupils as well as their attitude towards historical events and current bilateral relations. Additionally, the impact of pupil exchanges on how representatives of both nations see each other and on their further contacts has been discussed. The results obtained can serve not only as guidelines on how to work with stereotypes and prejudices in foreign language classes, but they might also help in effective preparation for the scheduled pupil exchange.

This paper discusses today’s problems of foreign language teaching, namely the contemporary challenges of foreign language lessons and the new glottodidactic perspectives in Poland with a particular emphasis on both the specificity and position of German as a foreign language. The aim of the present paper is to join the discussion about the role of German among other foreign languages in the Polish educational system and about the qualitative and quantitative tendencies in this area.

Competence means the ability to perform a certain activity. At the present, the teaching profession is at the center of interest both among the professional public and the general public. One asks how the teacher should be and what skills he should have. There will be a lot of discussion on the subject of teaching skills, with the goal of improving the education proces as much as possible and making it more effective. The didactic competence is described in the paper, because it occurs in our research. In the competency system, this represents the relationship of the teacher to the way he teaches,which strategies he should master with regard to the teaching process.

Die Kompetenz bedeutet die Fähigkeit, eine bestimmte Tätigkeit auszuüben. In der Gegenwart befindet sich der Lehrerberuf im Mittelpunkt des Interesses sowohl bei der Fachöffentlichkeit, als auch bei dem breiten Publikum. Man fragt sich dabei, wie der Lehrer sein sollte und welche Kompetenzen er besitzen sollte. Es werden zahlreiche Diskussionen zum Thema der Lehrerkompetenzen geführt, die das Ziel folgen, so viel wie möglich den Bildungsprozess zu verbessern und effektiver zu gestalten. Im Beitrag wird dann die didaktische Kompetenz beigebracht, weil diese in unserer Forschung vorkommt. Im Kompetenzsystem stellt diese die Beziehung des Lehrers zur Art und Weise, wie er unterrichtet, welche Strategien er beherrschen soll im Hinsicht auf den Unterrichtsprozess dar.

Przedmiotem artykułu są wybrane skrzydlate słowa zarejestrowane w słowniku Dudena (t. 12, 2017) "Zitate und Aussprüche. Herkunft, Bedeutung und aktueller Gebrauch. 7 500 Zitate von der klassischen Antike bis heute". Zbadano łącznie 65 przykładów, w tym 19 skrzydlatych słów pochodzenia obcego. Wyrażenia mają często swoje odpowiedniki w języku niemieckim. Zebrany materiał badawczy pokazuje, że w przypadku wielu skrzydlatych słów nastąpiły w przeciągu lat zmiany w obrębie leksyki i/lub semantyki.

The subject of this article is selected winged words registered in Duden dictionary (vol. 12, 2017) "Zitate und Aussprüche. Herkunft, Bedeutung und aktueller Gebrauch. 7 500 Zitate von der klassischen Antike bis heute". In the article I will examine 65 examples, including 19 winged words of foreign origin. Some of the phrases have their German equivalents. Collected research material indicates that, in case of many winged words, both lexical and semantic changes have occurred over the years.

Im Fokus des Beitrags stehen ausgewählte geflügelte Worte aus dem Duden-Wörterbuch (Bd. 12, 2017) "Zitate und Aussprüche. Herkunft, Bedeutung und aktueller Gebrauch. 7 500 Zitate von der klassischen Antike bis heute". Untersucht werden insgesamt 65 Beispiele, darunter 19 geflügelte Worte fremder Herkunft. Die Ausdrücke haben oft ihre Entsprechungen in der deutschen Sprache. Das gesammelte Forschungsmaterial zeigt, dass sich viele geflügelte Worte im Laufe der Zeit lexikalisch und/oder semantisch verändert haben.
