Author of the study examines the relation between poetry Austrian expressionist Georg Trakl (1887–1914) and Czech Poet Jan Skácel (1922–1989). Trakl´s work affected the development of modern Czech poetry in translations by Bohuslav Reynek in Thirties of the twentieth century by František Halas and other poets. The echoes of Trakl´s poetry can we read also in the sixties by poet Zbyněk Hejda, Jan Skácel and by Trakls translations by Ludvík Kundera. These translations are connected with Skácels work, exactly in book Metličky (1969).
