The paper presents the principal factors that determine the comfort of use for clothes. It defines the most important features used for determining heat and moisture transfer properties. It also looks at the relationship between heat and the ability of the human body to feel comfortable. It has been found that the insulation, proper ventilation and ability to wick away sweat are basic properties of textile materials used to assessing the comfort of use.
