W artykule omówiono wyniki badań empirycznych nad innowacyjnością przedsiębiorstw przemysłowych w Unii Europejskiej, ze szczególnym akcentem na kwestie: zależności między innowacyjnością przedsiębiorstw i ich otwartością na inne rynki zbytu; wymagania klientów sektora publicznego odnośnie poziomu innowacyjności nabywanych wyrobów lub usług w porównaniu do wymagań klientów sektora prywatnego. Wyniki badań pokazały, że przy większej innowacyjności przedsiębiorstw występowała większa skłonność do rozszerzania rynków zbytu, a w opinii zdecydowanej większości kierowników przedsiębiorstw nie ma różnicy w wymaganiach wobec innowacyjności wyrobów lub usług nabywanych przez klientów sektora publicznego i prywatnego. In the paper the results of empirical surveys on innovation of the industrial enterprises in the European Union were discussed, with particular impact on the following issues: dependences between enterprises innovatory and their opening on new market outlets; the requirements of public sector customers regarding innovation level of purchased products or services comparing to the requirements of private sector customers. The results of these surveys showed that greater innovatory of enterprises is accompanied by bigger inclination to market outlets' extension and in opinion of the majority of enterprises' managers the requirements of public and private sector customers towards products and services innovatory are similar. Innowacje i procesy innowacyjne skupiają obecnie uwagę badaczy. Lite¬ratura dostarcza wyjaśnień dla siły związków pomiędzy zmiennymi, jednak badania ilościowe nie wskazują jednoznacznie na przyczyny podejmowanych decyzji w procesie innowacyjnym. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest prezentacja procesów innowacyjnych w czterech wybranych organizacjach, ukierunkowana na identyfikację prawidłowości pro¬cesów innowacyjnych w MŚP. Wykorzystując metodę studium przypadku wykazano, że w badanych organizacjach procesy innowacyjne mają niewiele wspólnych cech, a zaliczyć do nich należy przede wszystkim: wykorzystanie ogólnodostępnych informacji, wprowa¬dzanie rozwiązań nastawionych na optymalizację procesów wewnętrznych i finansowa¬nie procesów przede wszystkim środkami własnymi.

Nowadays innovation and innovation processes focus significant research attention. Literature provides empirical support for relationships between contingencies, innovations and its outcomes, however, quantitative researches do not reveal the reasons and characteristics of innovation processes. The main aim of the paper is the presenta¬tion of innovation processes in four, chosen organizations, which is directed towards identification of innovation process characteristics in SMEs. Using case study methodo¬logy we conclude that in chosen organizations innovation processes has few common characteristics. In particular, organizations choose general, commonly accessible infor-mation for innovation purposes, they introduce new solutions to optimize internal pro¬cesses and finance their innovative activity with own resources.

Przedstawiono także założenia i główne obszary oraz kierunki rozwoju Małopolski zawarte w Regionalnej Strategii Innowacji Województwa Małopolskiego 2014-2020, z której wynikają potencjalne działania w zakresie rozszerzania form współpracy przedsiębiorstw z otoczeniem biznesu w transferze technologii. The article analyzed the situation in Malopolska SME sector in the context of a possible acquisition of public support for technology transfer. The analysis of quantitative characteristics of the subjects of SME sector in the Malopolska as potential buyers of consulting services. It presents the assumptions and the main areas and directions of development of Malopolska contained in the Regional Innovation Strategy of the Malopolska Region 2014-2020, supporting the potential actions of the wider forms of cooperation between enterprises and business environment in the transfer of technology.(original abstract)

The paper discusses the knowledges' definitions and their classification due to the source of origin, as well as ways to use knowledge in innovation processes. The purpose of this article is to present the conceptual model of resource use knowledge in the creation of technological innovation with regard to sources of knowledge resources.

Shadow banking jako innowacja finansowa

The current financial crisis has highlighted the changing role of financial institutions and the growing importance of the "shadow banking system" that grew on the back of the securitization of assets and repo operations. One thing financial reform must do, is bringing non-bank banking out of the shadow. In this process we think on "shadow banking" as on financial innovation. It is wrong to think all shadow banking activities are by definition bad and should consequently be banned completely. The shadow banking system consititutes an alternative source of financing and liquidity for companies and private banking. Overregulation of the shadow banking would prove to be unproductive. We need to understand shadow banking not as something parallel to and separate from the core banking system, but deeply intertwined with is as financial innovation. The shadow banking system consists of a web of specialized financial institutions that conduct credit, maturity, and liquidity transformation without direct, explicit access to public backstops.
